Day Five as Afternoon Mr. Mom
TGIF!!! The first week of Afternoon Dad @ Home comes to a close with a bit of a challenge. I didn't have to pick Tristan up from school so you'd think it would be a relaxing afternoon not much running around...you thought wrong because Friday was "Cousin Friday" the 1st Friday of every month we pick up Jonah, Sydney & McKenna 3 of Tristan's cousins after school and have them for the afternoon.
Honestly it was great I picked them up and came home Tristan and Thatcher were very excited to see the cousins and they were equally excited to seem the boys. Jonah, Sidney and Tristan hoofed it straight outside and reeked havoc on the swings, slides and sidewalk chalk. Jonah showed us his artistic side by drawing great Sponge Bob, which Tristan absolutely loved.
Since it was Hamburger night, Nanny came over early around 4pm and joined in the fun by having a large cocktail with me. The 5 kids and us 2 newly maudlin adults hung out and played until the rest of the Family made it over to have burgers. Tracy made it home around 6:30pm so she only missed some of the fun and caught up quick on the cocktails.
We had a great Friday of burger, drinks, conversation and family. It was a great way to end my first week as Afternoon Dad @ Home.

I am glad you guys are having so much fun while Mommy is at practice. Tristan is going to hate it when softball is over.
